The Design Process

The Design Process

We begin with an initial phone conversation. This helps to discuss the scope of the project and see if we are a good fit. The next step is to set up a consultation appointment. This will be done by the hour, at a minimum of two hours, at the client's home. At this first meeting at the clients home, we take measurements and photographs of the space and begin to discuss different opportunities for the project. Thereafter, we write up a scope of work for the project and create a design fee assessment. This is how many hours that the project will take us, and the client and the designer sign the contract to move forward with the design. This design fee will include the initial two hour minimum. Some projects require travel time, and that is ok too! From there, we begin the project. This can vary on so many levels based on the scope of work. We have lots of contractors and tradesmen that we recommend for each project and begin the introductions with the client. The rest of the process is custom to the specific scope, and we would be happy to discuss further when we connect!
